Structural Frame  Calculator

ONLINE APPLICATION FOR ANALYTICAL CALCULATIONS OF FRAMES

BASIC CALCULATIONS OF FRAMES
  • calculations in unitary and parametric systems

  • calculations of statically determinate Frames

  • calculate reaction forces in supports

  • step by step calculation of Normal Forces, Shear Forces and Bending Moments

  • creating diagrams of internal forces (Normal Forces, Shear Forces and Bending Moments)

  • export results to MS Word

Discover the possibilities of the frame calculator

Structural frame calculator is:

  • Step-by-step solution - just like solving a frame analytically

  • In the user panel you have access to your solutions

  • The solution contains links to articles describing the methods used

  • Unlimited number of examples

    • Enter the x and y coordinates of the nodes and their labels one by one.

    • Set the appropriate units and press the "Update" button to save the changes

  2. "Members" tab:

    • Select the start node and end node of the member from the list and press add

  3. "Supports" tab:

    • Select the type of support and insert it at any frame node. Available support types include:

      • Pin support

      • Roller support

      • Fix support

    • Presses the "Add" button. The support will be added to the frame diagram

  4. "Loads" tab:

    • Select a load type and insert it at any node or member of the frame.  Available load types include:

      • Point load

      • Bending moment

      • Distributed load

    • Complete the required fields and press "Add"

    • The load will be added to the frame diagram drawing

  5. Verify that all entered data is correct. If necessary, use the "Edit" button for a specific support or load.

  6. Press Solve.

  7. You will be taken to a new page with the results for your task. You can save the result to a MS Word file.

  8. You can reload the result by selecting it from "My solutions" available in the user dashbord

BEAM CALCULATOR

Kriss

I've used it to solve hinged beams and trusses using the method of joints . It works great. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn mechanics!
